One should never underestimate the power of a good lash moment. If you're blessed with naturally long lashes, the ones that seemingly swoop up without fail, I envy you. However, my eyelashes, which for the life of me cannot hold a curl, have led me to experiment with different types of falsies and eyelash extensions. Eyelashes accentuate your natural eye features and complete the makeup look. And when done right, fake eyelashes can add that picture-perfect factor.

Here are my ratings and honest opinions of all the false eyelash brands I've tried throughout the years and for various occasions and functions, from sorority formals, to my White House internship, to my regular days as a student on my college campus.

Lilly Lashes

At this point, wearing Lilly lashes has become a personality trait of mine. I prefer the Mykonos pair for formal events and any of the Lite versions for less formal gatherings. For a casual night out, Miami Lite are actually my favorite ones. These are luxury, faux mink lashes that last for up to 15 wears. As long as you maintain them and keep them in their box, you're good to go. These lashes are 100% worthy of the splurge but also offer frequent sales and specials! My review is 10/10.

Ardell Eyelashes

If I’m heading to class or want to look composed for the day, I use Ardell lashes. They're seriously so affordable and are a great way to switch up your everyday glam. As a full time student right now, I'll use these on the regular to keep up a polished appearance. I've linked my favorite going out vs. everyday ones. Ardell is a classic lash brand that is vegan and cruelty-free. A win-win truly.

Flutter Habit

These lashes came into my life while I was interning at the White House. I had to reapply them every morning, but they gave me a great natural and put-together feel at work! 8/10 looks, 2/10 for maintenance. Pros: I will say these look a lot more like lash extensions, as they're supposed to be applied under the waterline of your top lid.

Lashify

Speaking of falsies that don’t require reapplication every time, these PBT silk lashes are the closest thing to lash extensions I've seen on the market. These include innovative lash application technology that involves a magnetic glue. You simply place the band of the lash to the waterline of your top lashes, allowing them to seamlessly merge with your natural lashes. I would highly recommend these to working professionals to provide some ease into your morning beauty routine! 10/10

MAC 30 Lash False Lashes - Best individual lashes award

I tried individual lashes for a while to enhance the natural flair of my lashes. When applied meticulously and strategically, these individual lashes are a glammed up natural enhancement to your own lashes. A slight change from drab to fab in my opinion and oh so easy application! MAC has earned my adoration with these lashes, as they come in different sizes depending on how you’re feeling for a particular event. I’m a fan of anything MAC as I feel like it’s well established in the business and has earned consumer trust for their expertise in the field. And for that 9/10.
