Dear Mark Cuban, Conservative Women Are Unbreakable
By Grace Gilmore
In the latest October surprise, Kamala Harris-surrogate Mark Cuban recently appeared on The View and attacked conservative women as “weak and dumb,” claiming that they’re not truly “strong” or “intelligent.” This insult is not just Cuban’s opinion; it’s a clear reflection of the Democratic Party’s habitual disdain for women who refuse to align with their narrow, ideologically driven mold. Cuban was just saying the quiet part out loud.
Unfortunately, this is nothing new. Remember President Biden’s recent labeling of Republicans as “garbage,” a disparaging remark which also applied to conservative women. Or consider the recent Harris campaign ad portraying women as too timid to even tell their husbands they’re voting for Harris— a depiction implying that good marriages are built on deception rather than trust. These are not random mistakes; they are emblematic of the Left’s belief that women can be manipulated, directed, and controlled.
The Democratic Party views women as tokens to be leveraged, not individuals to be respected. Their electoral interest in women has always been transactional. Take, for example, the recent advancements of men in women’s sports, which Democrats have championed. Across the country, from Connecticut to California, female athletes have been forced to compete against males. These women— who have trained for years— are now losing titles and scholarship opportunities, such as those outlined in cases like Selina Soule v. Connecticut Association of Schools. Female track athletes saw their hard work stripped away by males invading their division.
Under Democratic-endorsed policies, the achievements of women are sacrificed on the altar of progressivism. Equally telling is the Left’s fixation on corporate success as the sole measure of female empowerment. According to the American Psychological Association’s 2023 survey on women’s mental health, rates of burnout and anxiety are at an all-time high, driven by social and cultural pressures that conflate worth with workplace status. Women who choose to stay at home with their families, a choice that brings fulfillment and contributes deeply to society, are demeaned by a culture that labels them “unambitious” or “outdated.” It’s a narrative actively pushed by Democrats, who prioritize power and influence over respecting individual choice and family values.
Cuban’s statement is just another example of the kind of hypocritical response from a party that claims to stand for women’s empowerment. Do we not remember when media outlets ridiculed former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, mocking her credentials and diminishing her intellect purely because of her conservative stance? The real message is clear: if you don’t conform to the Democratic agenda, your voice doesn’t matter, and your achievements are irrelevant.
You can forget Tulsi Gabbard, a veteran of the Iraq War and at the time of her representative term, the youngest woman ever elected to a U.S. state legislature. Forget Brooke Rollins— a successful attorney and CEO of the America First Policy Institute. Forget Elise Stefanik, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress at the time of her election in 2014. Forget Trump’s female staff members— the incredible Karoline Leavitt, Janiyah Thomas, Sonny Joy Nelson.
It’s time for conservative women to stand tall and call out the hypocrisy. We are not defined by a party or a movement. We are defined by our values, our integrity, and our resilience. We embrace motherhood, ambition, faith, and independence on our terms— not the terms set by politicians who only seek to exploit us for their political gain.
The Democrats may claim to know what’s best for women, but conservative women know what’s best for themselves and their families. In the same way Biden touted in 2020, if you’re a Black Republican, “then you ain’t black,” to Democrats, if you’re a conservative woman, then you aren’t a woman at all. It’s rich, coming from the party that cannot define “woman.”
But the strength of conservative women has never been in question— only the Democrats’ willingness to respect it. And as the Left continues to underestimate and degrade us, we will continue to rise, undeterred.
