From Victims to Victors under the Trump Administration

By Jasmyn Jordan

In his Letter from Birmingham Jail, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. remarked, “Reinhold Niebuhr has reminded us, groups are more immoral than individuals.”

This observation resonates with me, particularly when I consider the Democratic Party’s tendency towards conformity and echo chambers and its skirting of responsibility. The Democratic Party is still mentally enslaving my community, African Americans.

Dr. King continued in his letter, “I started thinking about the fact that I stand in the middle of two opposing forces in the Negro community. One is a force of complacency made up of Negroes who, as a result of long years of oppression, have been so completely drained of self-respect and a sense of ‘somebodiness’ that they have adjusted to segregation, and a few Negroes in the middle class who, because of a degree of academic and economic security, and at points they profit from segregation, have unconsciously become insensitive to the problems of the masses…”

It is very unfortunate that, despite all of Dr. King’s efforts to improve the lives of African Americans, his own son has aligned himself with forces that have abandoned his father’s vision for true equality and opportunity.

Ignorance is not bliss. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s son recently shared this post of him and his daughter claiming that Dr. MLK Jr.’s granddaughter “has fewer rights today than the day she was born.” That is a complete lie. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are rights that apply to every single American citizen and cannot be taken away. Leftists claim that conservatives will strip away rights, but if they are God-given, it is impossible to do.

Conservatives recognize that radical Leftism, whether manifest through Marxism or other ways, is a threat to our freedoms. These radical ideologies are perpetuated by candidates like Kamala Harris, who will not advance our country and its people but will tighten the Democratic party’s control over us. Unfortunately, the Democratic party excels at maintaining solidarity, even when their positions are disturbingly immoral— such as supporting sex change surgeries for children or refusing to acknowledge soaring inflation that is suffocating consumers. Because of their mindset of collectivism, they feel no remorse nor compassion for the individuals who are suffering under their tyranny.

Voters often lack awareness of their elected officials’ actions. Democrats take advantage of their voters’ ignorance by bribing them through incentives, such as illegal student loan bailouts and concerts by prominent celebrities. They continue to get elected and do more damaged, with no accountability for failed policies. They’re rewarded with long careers built on the back of the struggling taxpayer.

Conservatives need to make it known that Leftism undermines fundamental freedoms by denying the unborn their right to life, censoring college students, and putting families at risk of violence perpetrated by illegal immigrants or terrorists. Conservatives must draw strength from the fact that our rights are inherent and cannot be taken away. Awareness of these truths is crucial to effectively countering false claims.

So I ask, MLK III, what rights does his daughter not have?

Michaelah Montgomery went viral in April for a photo in which she was depicted hugging former president Trump, who has been unfairly labeled as a racist and a white supremacist. Recently, she was invited to speak at Trump’s rally in Atlanta. Introducing herself as the CEO of Conserve the Culture and State Director for Blexit in Georgia, she delivered an energized and illustrious speech. Montgomery expressed frustration with the Biden administration for creating a turbulent economic environment with high rent, medicine, and grocery costs that has affected minority community greatly.

“It should never be the quality of life versus the quantity of life,” she said.

She criticized the Democratic party’s selection of Harris, who has denied the public any discussion of policy, opting instead for personal attacks against Trump.

“They don’t want to talk policy, they just want to use propaganda to steal your vote,” she said. “The Left is trying to tote this woman as a savior for the black community, but all she’s done is hurt the black community since she came into the game.”

Montgomery highlighted how Trump’s policies benefited businesses and farmers. She reminded the audience of Trump’s strong national security and border, and she exposed the Harris’s botched “border czar” assignment, which has led to undocumented, unvetted migrants flooding into African-American communities.

“Kamala Harris has yet to say Laken Riley’s name,” she said.

Montgomery also pointed out how the Left is silencing and replacing women with their radical gender craze.

“What kind of feminist would still allow men to enter their sacred spaces ie our bathrooms and school locker rooms?,” she asked. “We cannot allow dangerous liberals who think things like this are okay into the White House because my daughter will not be fighting a man at her wrestling match.”

As if directly addressing Dr. MLK’s son and granddaughter, Michaela said, “The next time the Left wants to tell you that hey abortion is a right and you need to protect your medical freedoms. Remember that they took those freedoms away from men and women the second they got in office and there’s nothing stopping them from doing it again.”

It is disheartening that half of Americans support an administration that has consistently failed the country since inception. However, with dedicated patriots like Montgomery, there is hope that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s descendants will see that the American Dream does not discriminate.

Martin Luther King III was right about one thing in his tweet: “There is one candidate in this election who wants to roll back our rights and one who wants to restore them.” This November, I implore you to vote for President Donald J. Trump, who will safeguard and restore our rights, just as he did during his previous presidency.
