DEI Hires Have Gone Too Far

DEI HIRES HAVE GONE TOO FAR THE CONSERVATEUR KIM USSS HEARING HILL SECRET SERVICE CHEATLE

On Saturday, June 13th, 2024, an assassin attempted to kill former president Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Legacy media callously covered the event. They brushed over the fact that they are in part liable, having fueled the vilification of Trump for nearly a decade. There have been many shocking discoveries about this incident. For starters, the ease with which the shooter obtained rooftop access that was in such close proximity to the podium, how local law enforcement and Secret Service did not investigate attendees concerns about the suspects activity leading up to the incident, and the fact that the White House had previously denied Trump’s team’s request for more security. But one of the most widely acknowledged failings was in Trump’s immediate security detail.

Footage shows that the agents surrounding Trump were all shorter than him. They struggled to cover him as they led him from stage. While, yes, Trump is 6’3”, many celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger have bodyguards that tower far above them. As the cameras from the episode panned to the escort car, they showed multiple female agents in less-than-ideal shape, looking clueless. One of them in particular struggled to holster her firearm, attempting it three separate times before successfully doing so.

These obvious deficiencies in Trump’s security were noticed across the United States, with many conservative, right-wing, and even left-wing voters commenting about the chaos on Twitter.

Marina Medvin summarized it well:

“If I hired security, I would choose for size & skill. A woman my size isn’t as much value added as a man twice my size. That’s just the reality of it. Trump is 6’ 3”— his security should be the same size or bigger. DEI is incompatible.”

Political commentator Benny Johnson wrote:

“This is Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle. Instead of focusing on keeping our leaders like Trump safe, she’s more worried about diversity and hiring more women. She should be fired and investigated immediately. This is a national security risk.”

Following a congressional hearing in which Cheatle was interrogated by lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, Cheatle finally resigned.

Cheatle, who previously worked as a security executive at Pepsi, brags in her official bio on the United States Secret Service website that she’s “responsible for successfully executing the agency’s integrated mission of protection and investigations by leading a diverse workforce composed of more than 7,800” special agents and other personnel.”

She committed to have 30% female recruits by 2030, a feature from CBS News revealed.

While social justice warriors rejoice over diversity, equity, and inclusion in the top security agency in the United States, this ideology institutionalizes incompetence in the name of equitable race and gender representation.

The inefficacy of DEI hires has been proven repeatedly. The most recent example is United Airlines. The company experienced 8 major incidents in 2024 after they implemented their “Diversity and Inclusion” hiring plan. However, as people exposed the severe lack of training and professionalism in Trump’s security detail, progressive publications struck back at the public.

WIRED published an article titled, “The Right Is Blaming Women and DEI for the Secret Service’s Failure in Trump Shooting.”

When the DEI regime faces scrutiny, the Left remembers what a woman is. They’re now very intent on protecting women’s rights. What a far cry from their usual agenda — pushing women out of their sports and special spaces.

With Cheatle gone, the public has gained some accountability from the floundering agency. But DEI still corrupts it.
