Camryn Kinsey is a rising star on the political scene. Making her mark on social media donning that famous red hat, Camryn quickly earned her prestigious position working within the Trump White House. A Kentucky native, faithful Christian, and proud American, Camryn’s mantra “faith, family, freedom” encapsulates her approach to life. Known for her beauty and brains, Camryn represents a new age of conservatism: a movement best conquered in Christian Louboutins. A strong supporter of our President, Camryn, is living proof of the empowered women inside the Trump Administration, working to make America great again. From her bleach blonde hair to her bold conservative beliefs, Camryn is never afraid to stand out from the crowd. We couldn’t be more excited to bring our exclusive interview with Camryn Kinsey, a close friend of The Conservateur. In our interview, we cover social media, college campus culture, working in the White House, fashion, and more.

As a rising star within the conservative movement, what forces in your life influenced your conservative values? When did you become passionate about politics?

The way I was raised and the lessons I have learned over time have played a vital role in shaping my perspective. I grew up attending a small Christian school with parents that instilled core values such as hard work and respect in me. In 2016, when I began to surface in the political sphere, I found myself not agreeing with ANYTHING mainstream. At the time, I was graduating high school early as a full-time athlete with an entry-level job. I took the lack of respect athletes publicly displayed for our fallen soldiers and their families by kneeling for the anthem personally. The ungratefulness for the land of opportunity was evident, and my love and appreciation of America and its ideals grew stronger. I then came to the realization that I wanted to assist, in any capacity, the preservation of the United States and its founding ideals of faith, family, and freedom.

You have cultivated a widespread following on your social media as a conservative activist. What inspired you to be outspoken about your viewpoints on social media? How do you handle the hate that comes along with being an outspoken conservative?

Just as President Trump has done for forgotten Americans, I desire to do for the youth who feel misrepresented. There is a need for more young conservatives on the front lines exposing the radical ideas and the socialist agenda of the Left. Young Americans shouldn’t feel like they have to jump on a senseless bandwagon in order to be accepted. Young Americans should think for themselves, and that is what I desire to show them. There will always be the Karen’s and the Vivian Kensington’s of the world. My Twitter has been petitioned to be taken down because I’m a “risk to the mental health lives of many,” I’ve been called a racist once or twice and I have even received death threats for my Pro-Trump stance. You have to overcome these obstacles to reach your goal, especially as a Republican. I don’t have the time or the energy to dwell on the negativity. I have business to attend to, and we have a country to save.

You are currently a student at the University of Louisville. Tell us more about your experience as a conservative on your college campus. Have you ever faced discrimination for your beliefs on your campus?

Stepping foot on a college campus these days is like stepping foot into a ‘woketopia’ full of indoctrinated students. College campuses across the country severely lack the ability to accept and understand opposing views. I have been penalized on assignments for expressing a conservative perspective. I have received backlash from classmates and, sadly, even old teammates.

You started your own Turning Point USA chapter at Louisville and represent TPUSA as an Ambassador. Tell us how you got involved with the organization and why you support TPUSA’s mission.

I first became involved with Turning Point USA as an Ambassador and witnessed the impact I had with students digitally. That connection with those students online developed my desire to channel an audience I wasn’t reaching. I wanted to reach people in-person, and at my school, so I brought it to campus.

At 20 years old, you are currently the youngest employee in the White House. Tell us more about your experience working for the Trump Administration. Why are you proud to serve President Trump?

Working in the Trump Administration is surreal, and I am so thankful to stand alongside “an army of child soldiers.” In all seriousness, the grit and determination of this team is contagious, and the work ethic is inspiring. This Administration is one of the most productive Administrations in American history, and I am a witness to it. This President is unapologetically putting America and its people first. I am proud to serve a President who does not bow to the mob, demands respect for our country on a global front, and exposes the anti-American agenda. Only in Trump’s America could I go from working in a gym to working in the White House, because that’s the American dream. President Trump takes chances on hiring young people to deliver innovative ideas and policy prescriptions. I think that’s part of the reason why his Administration is so fresh and so willing to take the non-traditional route on so many different issues.

You represent a new movement of conservative women. What do you believe are the biggest misconceptions about conservatives? How do you hope to change the mainstream perspective of the Republican Party?

The mainstream perspective of the Republican Party tries to portray the ignorant narrative that we are all racist and hate poor people. When in reality, it is Democratic leadership that has failed minorities and disregarded low-income households. I hope to change the mainstream perspective by being living proof that the label the media boxes conservatives in is entirely inaccurate. I am a 20-year-old model and college cheerleader turned White House staff member- they couldn’t put me in a box even if they tried.

From the White House to social media, you’re a fashionista. How would you describe your style? Where are your favorite places to shop? How have you transitioned your wardrobe from college to the workplace?

My college wardrobe consisted of sweat pants and a cheer uniform. Don’t be fooled by my social media- I kept the sweatpants. I just traded my cheer uniform in for a blazer and MAGA hat. My style embodies my story. I am Kentucky bred but D.C. based. I can go from wearing red bottoms, and a Revolve dress one day to cut off jeans and cowboy boots the next. It depends on the time and place, but when in doubt, I pair it with a leather jacket and red lipstick.

As a young professional living in D.C., tell us more about the dating scene in the beltway. Would you date across the aisle? What is your advice to young conservative women entering the dating scene?

I normally keep my dating life very private, but I normally branch outside of D.C. and don’t date across the aisle. I see it as a conflict of interest. I want to be with someone who challenges me intellectually, encourages me professionally, and who loves me fiercely. Until I find someone who checks all the boxes, I will stick to Fox News and cheese fries. In all honesty, I am not sure I am the one that should be giving dating advice. It would be the blind leading the blind, but I will say this: Never lower your standards and know your worth.

It has become increasingly challenging for conservatives to voice their perspectives. Many conservatives are worried about facing backlash, losing friends, and getting “canceled.” What is your advice to young conservatives navigating these divisive times? How did you find the confidence to speak up for what you believe in?

Life is too short to be afraid of a Karen with “she/her *insert fairy emoji*” in her bio canceling you. Stand firmly in your beliefs and have faith in yourself... bend and snap! I personally find confidence in my secure relationship with the Lord. My favorite verse of all time is, “Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous hand.” Isaiah 41:10
