Holiday Glam Guide

‘Tis the season for festivities and functions, TC girls! Lights are dazzling, glossy invitations are arriving, and voluminous pine trees are finding new homes. Expectations run high as we’ll soon mingle and reunite with friends and family. But how we will we dress for the occasion?

While each Christmas season promises new revelations and resolutions, there’s no promise of a new closet in this economy. Take a peek at our holiday glam mood + shopping board to get in the spirit and snag some inspiration as we enter the New Year.

When building a holiday outfit on a budget, look for statement pieces. You likely have a good black pant, neutral heels, and a white tee already but add an overlay pearl top to take the outfit to the next level. One great jacket can jazz up a simple outfit, and fun tights can reinvent last year’s dress. Pro tip: tights under jeans add warmth and elevate the look.

Year after year holiday dressing never changes that drastically. However, this season in particular we predict high-sparkle accessories, platform heels and pointed toes, and bows. You’ll see the feminine bow in all its forms: on sweaters, as crystal detailing, and especially emphasized on sleeves and mini dresses. Color wise, aside from your classic winter palette, pinks, lavenders, and “parakeet” greens will also follow us into 2023.

Remember: shop in your closet first! You’ll be surprised by what you can pull together just by emulating your personal style icons. It only takes one statement piece to make an outfit.
